Travel update 6 May 2025

The Anne Beadell remains closed in Western Australia as does the Connie Sue where it passes through the shire of Laverton. Until the Anne Beadell has been fixed as far as Ilkurlka we are prevented from accessing fuel supplies so no fuel is available at the moment.

​

A start on repairing the rain damage from March last year has been made but there remains another 210km or so to go. We do not know when this final section will be completed.

​

Note that Laverton shire has track closures in place for the Anne Beadell and Connie Sue Highways.

There is currently no fuel (diesel or opal) available at Ilkurlka. Our fuel truck will not able to reach us until the March 2024 flood damage has been repaired. We have not got a timeframe for this.

Ilkurlka Roadhouse is located approximately 770km west of Coober Pedy and 550km east of Laverton on the Anne Beadell Highway.
